Sometimes I wonder why students think it’s okay to copy and paste stuff from the internet and think that that will “fly” as their own words, their own paper. It’s interesting. I mean, the minute I see words used that they obviously wouldn’t use, it produces a red flag in my teacher-brain. Other things send up red flags, but basically… Do they know how easy it is for teachers to find stuff that they’ve copied? Maybe, maybe not. Hmmm…
p.s. JUST updated the online punk syllabus. And I updated the English 105 one recently too.
