I almost have too many things I want to cover in English 110 today. For instance, I may have students who need to give presentations on their papers (from last Friday’s deadline or today’s deadline), I’d like to cover Chapter 13′s Comparison & Contrast (with an in-class assignment), I’d like to get them started on Vocabulary too, and… I think that’s about it – I guess I thought I had a much larger list.
Comparison & Contrast topics: college teachers versus high school teachers, the college atmosphere versus the high school atmosphere, single-parent homes versus dual-parent homes, sports in college versus high school sports… Comparison & Contrast –> topics that have similarities (comparison) and differences (contrast)… one student, thus far, has done a paper using this method to write about Catholicism & Buddhism.
