110 poetry activity ideas: 1) group poem in class (pass out words on heavy paper – they have to create mini-group-poems and read ‘em outloud), 2) an anti-poem: find something or write something that seems very anti-poetry, 3) the lyrical poem activity (3 fav songs > cut up > arrange into a poem)… Will most definitely have to start off the class with a discussion on what is poetry, etc, and I have some that I can handout or put on overhead too.
