I sure have seen some “interesting” writing strategies some students try to employ.
So have I.
I think some students either try to be too simple in their writing (all simple sentences) or they try to cover 4 topics in one sentence (and therefore have many run-ons). It’s all about balance.
I even remember last semester having one student with over 50 words in one sentence. Sheesh!
