Oooooh. I just knew Xanga would have all sorts of blogs on a global scale. Yippee.
They’ve got everything from Madagascar: smackyourbutt, to Denmark: velvetgreen, Italy: alone in the rain, Russia: rave party, Israel: Suzi Zipperswitch, and… India: groovy djsunny. My students should be able to find someone to read and research…
It looks like pinning down whether these bloggers are really in those places will be tough, especially if they don’t respond to email or elude to their location in their blog content, but oh well. I think I can live with that. I think I’ll browse Blogger, Vox, and Diaryland too.
[p.s. Just as I suspected, students may need to join the services - most are free anyhow - in order to have access to the blogs. Xanga has Xanga Lock & Friend Lock meaning you have be a member of Xanga and/or be a Friend of that blogger.]
