For the record, I was prepared.
But one can’t prepare for EVERYTHING…
like a teacher-station computer being “down”
or the lack of internet in a classroom that’s the back-up classroom.
So, I did what I could for the first day…
commenting on how I wanted this class
to be unlike any English class they’ve had in the past,
unlike any high school English,
unlike what they are expecting.
I hope that got through.
Tomorrow and Friday, I’m hoping for a fixed computer
(if not, I’m bringing my laptop as backup)
and the ability to “show off” eCompanion.
I am more hopeful that my students will be enrolled in eCompanion because I trust Cindy,
so that’s one worry to toss.
