So, I have two classes, and it seems that one is a class of “haters” and the other is a class of “lovers.” The class of “haters” couldn’t care less about writing anything, or so it seems right now. I really feel challenged to get them to see that writing can be at least 1.7 ounces of fun (maybe more, but I don’t wanna push it) and that it really will not kill them to write. I think the class of “lovers” simply exists right now as a comparison/contrast to the “haters” class. It’s quite the bipolar afternoon I have, let me say.
Then I have students emailing me either from my online courses or from eCompanion (the platform I am using for my on-campus classes), and they don’t identify which course they are in. This ends up making me frown as I try to determine the context of their question. Which, really, just adds “richness” to my day, really. And I only mean to write that with 50% of the sarcasm.
