Alrighty then. I am waiting for the pin.
The pin that will burst my lovely bubble of today.
Yesterday, I was told that I was going to be placed on the tenure-track! And then I had awesome conversations with some science geeks (and a sweet librarian) late into the night – even missed my favorite shows in order to connect with campus folk! Fun. And now today, I’ve received a letter/poem from one of my feisty students (who’s also given me a Lisa Simpson figurine). It’s really lifted my day from good to great. Soon, I’ll head over for a seafood buffet for lunch (woo hoo!) & then tackle my 1pm class with more PPT tips & how-to’s. Lastly, it’s off to the north to see my favorite people and attend a Halloween Party.
So, yea. Where’s the pin?
