  • Ideas, Ideas, Ideas…
= Have longer writing conferences so I don’t feel rushed & I can cover more of the small things… and have more rapport with students.
= Peer Review: Have students get into groups & have others read their papers back to them.
= Have them email me a chunk of their drafts X amount of days in advance & then put these chunks into a PPT… then, show the PPT in class without saying who wrote what. We can have a large group peer review that way?
= Rule of the Bone – after they respond on eCompanion, have them print off that response & get into groups to discuss. Then give the groups something to do with those responses – ask questions of each other, read the responses, figure out what they can’t understand about the novel yet, etc. Maybe even have them write questions the group has on the board/screen?
