Listening skills. Vent #409.
So, I introduce the Proposal for the Stretch Project today in my English 110 class (the 12wk one). A few ask me how long the paper has to be. I frown.
“Were you in class on Friday when I introduced the Stretch Project?”
“Yes.”
“Interesting. Um, you have to teach us the topic you choose. There isn’t a paper involved.”
“Really?”
“Were you listening?”
“Um, no.”
“Huh.”
And this is how/why teachers go insane.
