  • {I am shoulders-deep in a secret. Wooo Hoooo. But it’s a good one. It’s a creative one. And it’s taking me away from the uber deep subjects I’ve been tackling and blogging about lately. Yeppers.}

    Finally watched Knocked Up yesterday. Got to talking to Johnny, the cool dude who changes my hair colors, and decided to rent movies for the rainy afternoon. Picked up that one and Man Of The Year. Knocked Up was funny stuff. Probably not as funny as Super Troopers or Beerfest or Super Bad, but still funny. Those two curly-haired actors who look like brothers are FUNNY kids. Why do I have the sneaking suspicion I am a 18-year-old guy trapped in my body; you’d think so with my favorite movies, wouldn’t you? They are all guy-humor. And yet… looking at what I have blogged about recently, that’s a backwards notion – to like movies geared at beer-drinking college guys. Right? Errrrrg. I’m so hypocritical. At least I can admit it.

    When I check out the Sex And The City movie for the second time tonight, I’m going to have to ask myself if it is truly about women & men being a bit more equal. I don’t think so, but that doesn’t make me dislike the movie one bit. Sometimes, it’s just about the entertainment factor.

  • Well, a TV show is ultimately entertainment. But the fundamental premise you mention – that the end of feminism is women voraciously using men the way that the worst of men voraciously consume women – is certainly worth questioning.

  • I loved *Knocked Up.*

    I have forgotten what an entertaining writer you are. God… we’re getting old. Seriously though… you should be a xanga-lebrity. You’re one of the best.
