MODIFICATION.
On the path to sleep the other night, I realized how much of my life is modification. Take this lesson plan and modify it to work for X class. Take this dress, and with the sewing machine, modify X and X about it so I can wear it often. I get ideas about life from books and I modify them to work for me. Even the idea of karma. And then comes along BFL (Body For Life) and thus far, my modifications have lead me to feel better. This morning, I tried out doing cardio at the Wellness Center on our campus (free to employees – woo hoo!). It was nice to have a machine keep track of time and mph. Granted, I like to be outside, but it’ll be nice to use the Center for when it’s too cold or when I want to check my progress. Plus, for the weight-lifting aspect of BFL, I’ll have to use that Center. I don’t have the amount of weights I need & my squats/lunges already don’t make my legs as sore as they used to. The guy who checked me in today said that on Monday, the hours would be from 7 or 8 to 1 and then 4 to 9… something like that; they have a lunch break in there basically.
I’m taking off for the weekend. Have a great Fourth!
