  • Many of my students still claim to not know what a blog is.
    Fine.
Many of my students seem to be followers; once one person claims to be lost on a project, the rest fall in line. No one pipes up saying that they read it all (okay, Richard did last semester, but he’s got a truckload of confidence) and they ‘get it.’
    Whatever.
I’ve deleted the ‘overall picture of the GBP’ handout from Doc Sharing because I think that just overwhelms students. As does my linguistic study from Dr. Salting’s class back in the day. They see that paper’s length and have mini-heart attacks. Sheesh, kids.
What’s funny to me is that they’ll write, “This project looks really huge, but I think it’ll be interesting.” I guess I’ll take interesting over boring. My assignments keep moving farther and farther away from boring. Students may frown at first at what I am asking, but they typically give the assignment/project a shot. It just seems like an odd way to approach a project. Oh wait, I’m comparing them to me… silly teacher!
