“What do YOU gotta do tomorrow?” When my sister Alisa starts off a guilt trip, that’s the question that is her introduction.
If we’re out on the town, having a good time, and our youngest sis wants to head home early, immediately the “What do you gotta do tomorrow?” pops out of Alisa’s Amanda-Peet-like face (she’s the one on the left in the photo). Why do I bring this up?
Well, with all the outside elements I’ve dealt with the last two weeks, it’s nice to have a day like today. “What do I gotta do today?” Very little. I have one class, one office hour, a handful of cool assignments/handouts to create, and then a call is coming from some higher-up dude who owns my apartment building (property management).
I’m sorta asking for two good days in a row since I kept saying yesterday, after lunch, ”This is the best day ever!” For lunch, Taya and I hit the Campus Connection for Red Potato Chowder AND Rhubarb dessert! In addition to that, we walked through the Business Expo on campus and got free stuff (pizza cutter! toothbrush! mini-candy bars!). I ran into some Wells Fargo peeps, and the one lovely woman told me to call her about setting up my IRA Roth. After that, we got our photo taken by Dana and her photographer, plus she chatted with us for a wee bit. My writing conferences went well, and my 2pm class was rowdy but in a good way as usual. I started off the last chunk of my day with a bike ride around town, mainly looking at houses, but also hoping to make my quads tired and sore.
Today has started off with thunderstorms. See, when it rains literally, I have no problems. It’s the figurative rain that can pour on some other landscape for the time being.

Like the last comment about rain, well-said.
