ONE WOULD THINK…
that during all those years of volleyball…
all those years of tennis…
and more likely during that one year of hardcore cross-country…
I WOULD have hurt myself.
But, no. Never.
{Okay, a few bruises from diving in tennis or a few shin-splints from XC, but anyhow…}I just had to break myself doing something STUPID.
Walking down the hallway stairs,
on my way out to walk/run,
trying to adjust my iPod,
BLAM!
= land all my weight on my left ankle
after missing 3 stairs.
Yea. Nice work. So, even if I would’ve wanted to run the 5K Saturday morning,
it just wasn’t in “the cards.” Instead, I got called gimpy and
tried to play it off as no big deal. Yet, it’s still swollen & an ugly color, so…
SICK DAY it is!

Ouch. Get well soon!
Statistically, most driving accidents occur within 5 miles of home. I think this is a related fact.
Ouch! So sorry to hear that. It’s cool that you run 5K’s, what’s your usual time?
@GreekPhysique - Ha ha ha… before I respond, I probably should state that I’m not fast. I think I’ve completed the two 5Ks I’ve done in the past at right around 33min (11min mile pace for 3.1miles); last year, I did the 10K in 75min which was my goal (sure, I was hoping for less, but the mantra was “If I can’t do this in 75min, I may have to shoot myself.”).
