I demand that tomorrow be a DO-ABSOLUTELY-NOTHING day for myself. I deserve it. Whether others believe that or not, I could care less. (Note: didn't say I 'couldn't care less' because that means I care more than I am letting on... people need to watch what they say regardless... not irregardless, of course... oh snap!) Last week was supposed to contain the first few days of my cherished, "everyone knows teachers get three month off" summer break, but it didn't. Part of that was because we had two contract days, another part was an assessment workshop that I signed up for (yea yea yea --- I can't say "no", so zip it), and then a family-based-fun-obligation Friday. Today, I had a meeting. Sure, it wasn't like it lasted all day or that I didn't get paid, it was just another day I was supposed to be on this "break" we all oddly get for being teachers who have an "easy" job the other nine months (okay okay, that guy's question on Saturday night still bugs me). Call me bitter. Tell me I take things too personally. It's all true, and I'll just shrug at you anyhow. At least I'm honest.
Here's another dose of honesty... people were complaining at lunch about the weather (it's cloudly and a wee bit chilly for the end of May, etc.), and I agreed, yet SECRETLY I love this kind of weather. Any time of year. I love clouds. I love having to wear a scarf and cardigan. Shake your head at me and say I'm a "Debbie Downer" who loves her crappy weather, but, again, it's the truth. I adore not having to squint or sweat. Thank gawd I live in ND.
Lastly, the big reason I deserve a DO-NOTHING-DAY? I just started on my English 120 Online class for next week. I got much more accomplished this afternoon than I thought I would; plus, it's past 5pm on my "break" and I'm at the office. Oh YEA!

Wait...I totally disagree re: "couldn't care less." If you couldn't care less, it means you already care so little, you couldn't possibly care less. If you COULD care less, it means you care (although it's ambiguous how much) and you might care even less if other people disagree with you. You COULD.
I agree with ordinarybutloud on the dissection of the could/couldn't argument. But, I also think that teacher47 COULD care less. She is a caring person and does take the stuff to heart, so technically, she could care less. She could be one of those jaded, cynical uncaring people who are so hard to be around!!
@ordinarybutloud - @ChubEchpmnk - I think you are both saying the same thing. I could care less, and I do about a lot of stuff. Well, not today. Today's looking like a good day, but... yea.
