This conference's subliminal message? Apple is the way to go. It may be the only way to go. I agree & disagree. You'd think, since I'm a Mac-freak, I'd be all about the APPLE. I am, and, yet, flexibility is a big deal.
Frankly, I think a lot of Apple's product success is more a result of smart marketing than actual substance. I tend to go with PC products as I don't like the snobbishness (in my opinion) of Apple as a company.
Flexibility is key, whatever it is.
@heyitzlong - Marketing, yea, and aesthetics... I mean, when I walked into the first session and there was a sea of Macs, I was instantly excited. They look fun; it's like using a book for a class that students immediately want to open up. If the insides/content is the same, but the outsides are "cool" or "pretty" people are attracted to 'em. I guess that probably sounds obvious.
