  • iMac Upgrade?

If I sent in my "old" iMac, Apple will give me $310 trade-in value towards a new one.
The 27" iMac I'd like to have, is about $1500 with the Apple Education discount, so I could get it for about $1200.
    Hmm...
And a basic iPad is $500 using the Apple Education discount.
    Do I need either? No.
But they are certainly PRETTY and COOL and FANCY.

Possible agenda for tomorrow and Wednesday:
+ Walk to video store in Sorels.
+ Mini-Movie Marathon: 4 Christmases and Easy A for sure...
    + Buy some Pepsi Max?
+ Read/finish I'm Down and start Jenny McCarthy's book. Oh, and continue to read the Happiness book; I typically can read a funny book with a research book at the same time. True story.
+ Maybe consider looking ahead to next semester... maybe.

    Thursday/Friday:
+ Purchase David Sedaris' new book (okay, it came out in September, but I don't have it yet).
    + Appointment 9am-ish Thursday.
+ Endless.com shipment in on Thursday.

  • I want an iPad sooooo bad. Plus you can get a keyboard with it. Multi-functional!

  • @heyjulsiscoo - Yeah. It's a cool lil' thing... but I started thinking that I already have a cute lil' pink netbook (was $250 at Target.com) and an iMac that does what I need it to do. Plus, my parents just got me a new iPod (160gb Classic - my Classic from 2005 still works but I bet it won't hold all the podcasts I just downloaded! :o )

I'm loyal to Mac, which means I don't need to buy things very often because they last so damn long. :D

  • @teacher47 - I totally agree. Knock on wood, all my mac products are still holding strong. I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying that LOL.

  • @heyjulsiscoo - Isn't that crazy? My iPod Classic from 2005 will still start up in my bug when it's below 0 out! Yeah. In fact, that thing has been through hell. I've dropped it; it's been literally frozen for months at a time... jeezus.

And my iBook from 2001 only has two crappy parts to it - it doesn't have wireless & when it's positioned at >90 degrees, the screen doesn't work. Otherwise, I could hook it up to a different screen & it still functions just fine. It's TEN YEARS OLD, and I bet it's faster than my old office computer. Sheesh.

Yep. KNOCK ON WOOD. :o )
