Stormin' Norman, Part 2.
There's a lull right now in the storm action, and it looks like we'll get dumped on some more. But meteorologists don't know everything, so we'll see. Either way, my plans don't change much; I just might see less people tonight if driving around town (F/M) is still not advised. The mall isn't open today, and many places just didn't even attempt it - I think all my siblings are safely at their respective homes.
I roamed on over to the Valley News Live Facebook wall yesterday and this morning, and it's funny to see how many people must be lurking on there waiting to tell people: "You will DIE if you try to go anywhere." Oddly, I think it's a younger generation that wants to be mobile and an older generation that scolds them: "Better to see your family later than not at all." Wow. All or nothing, people? Really. I was on the road yesterday, and it was scary, but I wasn't going to die going 45mph on the highway. Everyone was going 45mph. Jeezus Mary and Bob.Doom and gloom before a new year? No thanks. Let's be creative and positive instead. What happened to snowmobiles? Snowshoes? Bundling up and walking places? Web cam parties? Call up someone with a massive 4-wheel drive vehicle & pay 'em to take you someplace safely.
