  • There is a hard combination to find between... teaching a class and motivating them. Most of them just want to get by, and if I were to take that attitude with them (just get by in the classroom... assess whenever I wanted, etc.), I would get hollered at. By them. Most of them are hypocrits. They probably talk badly about the teachers who push them, yet they would detest having a teacher who didn't...

    Students are just plain strange. In general.

    Anyhow, I plan to throw their P4 grades into the Gradebook today. I have to wait on P4.5 until Monday, but next week will be the week to send out the "Hey, the last day to drop is on Thursday = Take the W instead of the F if you are wise" email. I wonder how many will come in and talk to me about "what they can do about their grades"?
