  • Obama and Preparation H.

    "If you vote against Obama because he can't get things done, it's kind of like saying, 'This guy can't cure cancer. I'm going to vote for cancer.' " From the interwebs of space...

    Okay, so how do I link this Obama quote with what I did today... I say the following = Basically, I know that politicians aren't truthful with us 85% of the time. Hell, we aren't truthful with ourselves or even our family member 50% of the time. So whatever. Many wanna boot the guy because he didn't cure the hemorrhoids left by DingleBerry Bush Jr. Well, it takes a lot of Preparation H, and he couldn't even tap into a large enough supply of that crap. For real.

    And, yes, other presidents have had to clean up messes, too, but this guy has been just picked on for things he didn't even CAUSE. Ick. Whatever. Like the economy can be fixed overnight with other dingleberries in the way. He prepped and prepped and hoped and hoped. Just like teachers. But sometimes a teacher is given a classroom, or two or three, of crazies. Lazies, crazies, and a scattering of idiots. Having a handful of good seeds doesn't overcompensate. It stinks, but it happens.

    So, I've been prepping like a mad person. Thinking ahead and then ahead of that. It's exhausting, but it is what I love to do. Plan, make lists, and create new documents. Thus far, I've completed: a) 85% of my Tech Boot Camp projects (a movie about a poem - for the Poetry unit and as a sample for the Multi-Modal unit; 1 taping of myself reading a poem; 1 crossword puzzle for the Poetry Unit), b) created 2 crosswords for my 110 and 120 syllabi (first day or second day assignments to reinforce ideas from the syllabi), c) sent off the Poetry Packet, Poetry Booklet, and the Poetry crossword to be printed up, d) started to sort through my Poetry stuff that needs to be uploaded (documents of poems, etc.).

    I have yet to: a) Finish off the Intro Packet which I'll need before the damn Poetry Packet, b) upload documents for the Intro Unit and Poetry Unit to Doc Sharing, and c) mentally check off things in my head so I can calm down and relax already.

    This afternoon/evening = finish off Intro Packet and send that to the Copy Center. Tomorrow: go to HR to figure out new checking acct. thingie & attend Boot Camp luncheon.
