North Dakota Fail.
Remember when we were known for our "uber cold climate" and "low-paying jobs" and land so flat that no one wanted to visit us...??? Yeah. I kind of want THOSE days back. So sad, right?
Because check this out = http://www.examiner.com/article/what-s-the-matter-with-north-dakota-rise-of-a-male-dominated-dystopiaAnd there are other articles like this. Yikes.We have the opportunity to be awesome. We have the chance to be the cool place (pun intended?) that people want to live in. But WOW... probably not going to happen. I'm disappointed in my little state; you've turned into a giant jerk ... like Texas (no offense?). So, um, maybe I should start a matriarchy? Who's with me?

No Texas is a nice place, even in their oil boom towns its nice and the people are very nice.Your state is a bit of a mess. Too much too fast.
@trunthepaige - Messy and anti-women lately (http://www.valleynewslive.com/story/21796689/breaking-news-governor) ...
BUT there is a little highlight (http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-democratization-of-banking-why-is-socialism-doing-so-darn-well-in-deep-red-north-dakota/5329104) ...
@teacher47 - Your bank in interesting. Though calling the government supported national mega banks capitalism is bit of a stretch. Your state is doing that a better way. Nether system qualifies as pure private industry. Keeping your government money close to where it was collected is just common sense.
About your anti woman thing. I am sure misogyny is big in the man camps. A very high percentage of woman around there are prostitutes, the lack of respect would be scary. But these guys are not even from your state for the most part. They are just the product of a very bad national economy, a modern grapes of wrath. And I doubt they vote in significant numbers. It takes very little looking at demographics and voting patterns to see that when the subject is abortion support for the issue is not a male vs female thing. It is very evenly split. I would be willing to bet, without looking it up, that the woman of North Dakota are mostly pro life. The government of North Dakota is doing what the voters want. If they are not doing what the voters want, you will see that in the next election. But traditionally the voting patterns of men and woman on this issue are much alike
@trunthepaige - I don't know whether to argue with you or just walk away from this conversation quietly because I know where it will end up.
@teacher47 - Don't worry about it. I might even be wrong, I did not look at your states polls. But that is the way it is with most states and nationally. Yours being such a Red state I made an assumption. And if you just disagree on a point of opinion, I would never get angry over it. I'm used to it, I'm from Seattle remember?. And I know you do not like to argue, so I would not push it. I promise you I will not do that. I do my hard arguing on my blog, not yours. People come to mine for that sort of thing. You do not do that and I respect you. And I am not even arguing my blog today. I wrote a poem of all things
