  • Pixlr.com has this new Express option. It’s fun. And aids in procrastination! Yay!
  • Can I say how HAPPY I am that I switched up the paper topics (& instructions) in my World Lit class?
When you add creativity to ANYTHING, it turns out super awesome!
A majority of the students got 100/100; that makes me smile.
  • Above: My own scribbling from a meeting yesterday.
Back to grading today… the P1 and P1.5s are completed in Eng110.
So, it’s Eng120 and WL240 today through the rest of the week…
  • I normally have a LOT to do, but today I had SO much to do that the morning flew by in a flash.

And I missed lunch. That says a lot. Luckily, I have an hour in between this class & my next one.
  • Ready.Set.Grade!

The above image was found on Pinterest. I love it.
I sent it to some cool people via phone already.

    My short list for today

Assess one Eng110 class worth of Paper 1/1.5s… [3 classes with about 20 students in each]
and send Paul my TYCA assignment draft (via Google Docs).
    Those are the big things.
*I was unable to give out my pop quiz in the 8am class today; it took too long to cover P2,
so I’ll use it on Friday perhaps…
This week, I’ll try to tackle an Eng110 class each day … [about 40ish total to assess]
Eng120 tomorrow: 10 Papers and the small assignments. [about 11 to assess]
Get to WL240 Paper 1s a.s.a.p.! Those should be relatively easy to review/assess…
My ending thoughts, and, yes, for a Monday, they are passionate.
  • Back in the classroom after a week of writing conferences (which means I have a LOT of paper grading to do!)…

Prompt for this morning (in preparation for P2 research): Who are three “famous” people you’d like to meet & why?
    — Sarah Jessica Parker.
    — Kathy Griffin.
    — Chelsea Handler.
I think these are the three I definitely – DEFINITELY – want to meet. I thought about chucking in Conan O’Brien or Jim Gaffigan, but… oooh wait. Jon Stewart. Dang it.
Well, anyhow, I chose these three right away because they are interesting to me AND funny ladies. The first choice is SJP because she’s funny and humble and a fashionista. The second two are because they are entreprenuers of themselves – awesome business ladies – and uber, uber blasphemous. Love that part!
*I have more to say, but I’ll postpone it for my 1pm class because my 8am-ers are almost done…
  • sad or passionate?

I can’t decide if this poem is about setting fire to passionate dreams…
or if it’s about someone who stomped on another person’s heart.
