  • Would I get treated differently if I was a male instructor?
    AND
Who is tougher overall- female instructors or male instructors?

If I were to think back on my college career (undergrad & grad), I wonder who I would consider my tougher teachers as far as gender is concerned. Unfortunately, I can’t recall every class. In fact, I probably just remember the ones that I got the most out of. Steve Ward’s classes always enthralled me… Kathy Cummings had the best teaching stories that connected to each piece of Education Psychology… Kevin, even in his first year, taught me about side-shadowing and about writing 8 pages of stuff in order to revise it down to the best 4. Betsy, in grad school, was one tough cookie, but she made class fun and so the work didn’t seem to overwhelm me as much as it would have in a ‘boring’ class. I think I would have to make a list and try to remember every teacher I had in order to figure it out.
