• Well, I put in grades just in case I don’t want to venture up here tomorrow… I probably will though since I didn’t get the start on the online English 120 that I wanted to. I think I have wrapped up English 105 well, and I am 3/4s of the way through the English 110 syllabus. I broke up the semester into units which just helps me understand what I am doing throughout each piece… I think that will help the students and me: “Oh, we’re in Unit 3 now and that unit focuses on______.”

  So, I think my 3-4 hours in the office today did some good. I think. And I may increase those hours a bit by reading at home: the English 110 class will be reading Rule of the Bone, and the online English 120 will be reading Fahrenheit 451. I’ve read Fahrenheit many times, but I’ve only gotten into the beginning of Rule of the Bone in the past.
