Okay. So I got lost halfway through chapter four. I listen to music, but he jumps into an ocean of critique about Billy Joel not being cool and how other bands are this or that. I got lost. Plain & simple. However, it did make me boot up the iTunes and listen to a few of the songs he mentions. So, there’s that. [As for chapter three (about The Real World), I agreed mostly with what he had to say. His footnotes are hilarious. I should create a syllabus with funny footnotes.]
I was just talking to Cheryl about him. He used to write for the Forum (?) and she said that she’d get upset with what he’d write, but she’d keep reading. I don’t like, necessarily, what he has to say, but I do like how he says it. It’s all in the medium with me, not so much with the message (Did I just make a McLuhan reference, Kevin? Perhaps, but did I use it correctly? Dunno.)?
