*warning: political rant to follow*
It occurred to me this morning that the Republican party is getting somewhat of a “sainthood” title based on things that they should’ve done anyhow. These decisions were no-brainers, in other words. Obvious choices. As a teacher, if I could receive some saint points for obvious decisions, that’d be awesome.
I’m thinking of two items in particular…
a) Palin’s pregos daughter keeping the baby (of COURSE she is; she almost HAS to, doesn’t she? There is no other option when your ma is Palin! HELLO! What would’ve been real sainthood points would’ve been to get the daughter to give it up for adoption, to show the nation that even politicians trust that system; how hard will the teenage mom have it? Almost as “bad” as Britney’s sister.).
b) The “toning down” of the Republican National Convention (as I recall, it was someone in that party who didn’t respond to the Katrina disaster, so of COURSE they were going to “do it right” this time around! They want to win the hearts of voters down there, DUH. More sainthood points = canceling the convention and having all the politicans/assistants/etc. go to New Orleans to help with clean-up efforts).*political rant complete*
Not a whole heck of a lot happening today. My English 105 class has a workday for their Project 2s; the first Tech Words assignment is due too (on eCompanion). I’ll show Taya “around” eCompanion after class & then prep a bit for tomorrow’s lineup.

What would she have done? The same thing a lot of girls do. They just do it, the baby goes away, mom never knows. Planned parenthood doesn’t tell anyone. It is just a trip into town
@trunthepaige - Highly doubt it. In a small town… with her mom that sort of political figure. I doubt it could’ve happened without someone finding out; the daughter knew that much. So, Palin’s a saint instead for saying she’s excited to be a G’ma… Like others have argued, if this would’ve happened on the Democrat side, it would not have been sainthood points, it would’ve been, “well, they’re morally corrupt, so of course their children are sleeping around.”
