Five Unknown Facts About Me (?):
1) I was nominated for Miss Tennis of North Dakota (1995) when I was senior in high school; that was probably my only claim to fame back then besides winning a poetry contest.
2) My first pet, a rabbit named Wilson, died on Easter. We returned from mass, and some lady came over to tell us that her huge dog attacked Wilson. I was 5; I became immediately pissed.
3) I caught a 17″ walleye two Spring Breaks ago. I took it out of the hole and off the hook by myself (dismisses the girlie-girl/shopaholic assumption just a wee bit); on that trip with the bf, we out-fished the 4 college guys in the icehouse next to us on Lake of the Woods.
4) Architecture was my first major; I still have blueprints from taking Drafting Tech on NDSCS’s campus.
5) I didn’t learn to burp until grad school.
Comments (4)
Having a rabbit mauled to death on Easter is both sad and strangly ironic.
Great list my sister always outfished me on family trips. Must be something about a womans touch.
@Curse_of_Greyface - Thanks! I’m still oddly upset about the Wilson incident; it comes out when people speak of eating rabbit. I think I’d rather puke.
1) do you have more claims to fame now?
2) I’m surprised rabbit-lady told you. That must have taken some courage. I remember once when we visited my grandfather and he told me we were eating the pet calf he gave me from the cattle ranch the year before. Bleh.
5) to burp on purpose, or at all?
@ordinarybutloud - 1) I don’t think so… I can’t think of anything. 3) On purpose… well, both I suppose.
