• Eight years ago…
  Eight years ago, I had taught high school for about five months.
  Eight years ago, I was living in a different town.
  Eight years ago, my bug was brand-new.
  Eight years ago, I was very single.
  Eight years ago, I had a Bachelor’s degree.
  Eight years ago, I was sporting dark brown hair – almost black.
  Eight years ago, George Bush was getting his start at being our president.

  It’s been eight years since we had a Democrat in office.
  Huh.
  Good luck, Mr. Obama. I have hope in you.
